ISP issues January report

Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post have released statistics for January. Troopers issued 1,405 traffic citations and wrote 532 traffic warnings. Troopers also arrested 26 drunk drivers and made 40 criminal arrests.

They also issued 299 truck citations, made 45 commercial motor vehicle inspections, investigated 50 crashes, made 16 crash-related arrests.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division, working from the Lafayette Post, worked 11 new cases and assisted the troopers in total criminal arrests.

The Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division at the Lafayette Post inspected 145 commercial motor vehicles, placing 19 trucks and five drivers out of service with one driver charged with Driving Under the Influence.
