Evelyn Yeakley
Born Jan. 2, 1922, in Lexington, Ky., she was the daughter of Walter L. and Pansy A. Rivers Gaby. She was married on Dec. 18, 1949, in the Rock Creek Lutheran Church to Deane L. Yeakley, who survives. A homemaker, Mrs. Yeakley was a member of Faith Lutheran Church near Deer Creek. She enjoyed playing the organ, listening to music, playing bingo, and traveling. Her greatest joys were the wonderful times with her family and friends. She had a very generous and loving heart. Surviving with her husband are three daughters, Deena Monahan (husband: Marty), Betsy Morrical (husband: Dr. David), and Sally Beeler (husband: Roger) all of Logansport; a brother-in-law, Lee Wayne Yeakley (wife: Freda) of Logansport; two sisters-in-law, Mary Blue (husband: Jerry) and Mag Albaugh (husband: Harry) of Logansport; nine grandchildren, Chris Fiscel (wife: Stormy) of Logansport, Andrea Monahan of Indianapolis, Martin Monahan of Chicago, Ill., John Morrical (wife: Erica) of Indianapolis, Mike Morrical (wife: Amanda) of Lebanon, Tenn., Jim Kesser (wife: Michelle) of Denver, Colo., Crystal Smith (husband: Rob), Casie Klepinger (husband: Jim) and Rebekah Gearhart (husband: Jake), all of Logansport; six great-grandchildren, Hunter P. Klepinger, Gavin C. Smith, Cooper L. Smith, Owen P. Morrical, Macey R. Gearhart, and George C. Gearhart; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved Yorkie, Eddie Jo. A memorial service was held Tuesday evening at The Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport. The Rev. Scott Ellison and Dr. Anthony Fagbami officiated. Private graveside rites will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cause for Paws, American Cancer Society, or to your favorite charity.
