Cheering for the Colts
His wife, Stephanie, is a Colts cheerleader. This is her first year with the Indianapolis football team, and she picked a good year. The Colts are going to the Super Bowl for the first time. Stephanie has been a cheerleader since seventh grade. She was a high school cheerleader at Kokomo High School and then continued cheerleading all through college. She cheered for Indiana Wesleyan University her freshman year there, for the now defunct Indiana Firebirds Arena Football League her sophomore year, and for the Indiana Pacers her junior and senior years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from IWU in 2005. As a Pacemate with the Indiana Pacers, Stephanie represented Indiana on two Armed Forces Entertainment Tours. The AFE tour traveled to Kosovo, Bosnia, Iceland, England, and Norway. Stephanie said Colts cheerleaders arrive at the RCA Dome 8- 9 hours before each game for practice and for having their hair and make-up professionally done. While she puts in a 12-hour day on game day, Ethan enjoys the game as a spectator. As the spouse of a cheerleader, he gets two complimentary tickets for each home game. Family members, including his parents, Greg and Pam Michael, and brother, Titus, have benefited from that extra ticket. Stephanie and Ethan were married in September 2005 and live in Indianapolis. In addition to cheerleading, Stephanie is a producer for an advertising agency in downtown Indy. Ethan is a financial planner, working in Carmel. They will be going separately to the Super Bowl. She'll be going with the cheerleaders by air, and he and three friends will be driving. For more information on the Colts cheerleaders and team, go to the Colts website at www.colts.com. |
