Seven Oracle wrestlers advance to regional
Alderman remains undefeated

The 2007 wrestling sectional was held this Saturday at the Lafayette Jefferson High School.

The host Broncos won the team title, with Seeger finishing second. These two teams will wrestle Wednesday at Harrison in the team regional. Rounding out the top five teams were Harrison third, McCutcheon fourth and Delphi fifth.

Delphi had seven wrestlers advance to regional competition at Logansport on Saturday. Bob Floyd won the championship at 112 pounds, putting his record at 29-7. At 119 pounds, Donovan Alderman was also a champion and kept his undefeated season intact at 36-0. Freshman Braden Atwood, at 152 pounds, won the title, running his season record to 32-5.

At 125, Michael Atwood placed third as did Coy Pennington at 171. Placing fourth was Tyler Beaudoin and Wes Everett at 145 and 284, respectively.

Shane Evans at 160, Brandon Delaney at 189 and Carlos Garcia at 215 all placed fifth, making them alternates for this week's regional. Placing sixth were Randy McIlrath at 103, Miguel Montero at 135, and Cody Hayden at 145.
