Mark and Andrea (Butcher) Cable, 4313E 200S, Bringhurst, are parents of an 8- pound, 14-ounce son, Avery Dean, born Jan. 9 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Grandparents are Marlene Butcher of Bringhurst and the late Danny Butcher, and David and Rose Cable of Camden. Maternal great-grandmothers are Mary Trapp Miller of Flora and Beulah Butts of Burlington.

Matthew and April Sturdivant of Flora are parents of a seven-pound, 10-ounce son, Merle Allen, born Jan. 18 at Lafayette Home Hospital. Paternal grandparents are Jeff and P.J. Everett and Allen and Brenda Sturdivant, all of Delphi. Maternal grandparents are Sherry Johnson and Jim Johnson, both of Delphi. Paternal great-grandmother is Jean Hildebrandt of Delphi. Maternal great-great-grandmother is Esie Cropper of Kentucky.
