Faith Lutheran Church is hosting a Family Fun Night, starting Feb 2 at 6 p.m. Mary Bowman will furnish a pot of soup. Everyone is invited. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish, snack, or dessert, along with a favorite game or puzzle.

The Golden Girls met recently at The Dinner Bell in Burlington for lunch. Those attending were Joann Jones and Pat Burnham of Thorntown, Jane Slusser of Logansport, Marilyn Hile and Dot Fulton of Deer Creek and Mary Blue of Cutler.

George and Lois Wallace recently traveled to Vincennes University to pick up their grandson, Corey Liming, and then went to Newton, Ill., to visit and stay the weekend with friends, Bill and Jean Powers. While there they took their grandson and friends out to eat and bowling.

Carl Robeson has returned from a 12-day trip to Hardwar, India. He traveled with two other veterinarians and a spouse on a Christian Vet Mission out of Seattle, Wash. They were there to treat water buffalo. While there, the group went into the jungle where they saw elephants and about 1,000 monkeys.
