Grant information meeting set for north central counties Indiana University - Kokomo will host a grant information meeting at the Kelley Student Center, Room KC130B, at 2300 South Washington Street, Kokomo, on Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m. The Indiana Arts Commission and Tippecanoe Arts Federation (TAF) are calling for applications from each of the 14 counties they serve. The meeting is free and open to anyone considering applying for funding. Applications will be available at the meeting or online at www.tippecanoearts.org. RSVP to TAF at 1-800-721- 2787. Walk-ins are welcome, however due to space constraints, reservations are encouraged. The Grant Information Meeting will cover the specifics of the grant applications, the changes in funding levels and guidelines, and the changes in the panel review process. There will also be a question and answer period. Rose Burch, director of regional services will lead the meeting. The grants are for arts projects and activities that will take place between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2008. Mini-grants, arts project and arts operating support grants are available. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Eastern on March 23, in order to be considered for funding. Non-profit organizations and schools in Region IV counties may apply for grants. Applicants may request funding for dance, music, theatre, visual arts, design arts, crafts, photography, media arts, literature, folk/traditional arts, interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary projects. TAF is the IAC Region IV Arts Partner serving Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren and White counties. Last year Region IV awarded 27 grants in nine counties with a total of $111,823 granted. Tipton county applicants for minigrant funding will be given a waiver of the matching funds requirement this year to encourage participation in the grant program.
