Scholarship opportunities offered to high school and adult students

Several scholarships are being made available through the Carroll County Extension Homemakers Association.

Carroll County EH Clubs are offering four $200 scholarships to graduating seniors.

Requirements for application for these scholarships are: 1) Applicant must be a daughter/son or granddaughter/ grandson of an active Carroll County Extension Homemaker; 2) Applicant must reside in Carroll County and attend either Carroll, Delphi, Rossville or Twin Lakes high school. Home school and private school will also be considered. 3) The scholarship may be used for any career at a college, university, beauty school, trade school, etc. 4) Applicant must fill out an application form submitted with accompanying essay and include a copy of student's permanent record no later than April 15 to: Purdue Extension - Carroll County, PO Box 317, Delphi, IN 46923, or call (765)564-3169.

The Iris McCain Memorial Scholarship is offered to an adult student who is attending a state licensed, academic, vocational or trade school. Eligibility requirements include: 1) Must be a current Carroll County resident of at least one year. 2) Must be at least 21 years of age or older, male or female. 3) Applicant may be single, married or divorced. 4) Applicant must furnish proof of enrollment to a state accredited or licensed academic, vocational, or trade school type of institution. 5) Applicant must have financial need.

The Indiana Extension Homemakers Association (IEHA) is offering career advancement scholarships to qualifying individuals who are interested in furthering education, leadership, and community volunteerism. IEHA is offering eight (8) $500 scholarships to Indiana homemakers who are 25 years of age or older. These scholarships are to be used to complete education or upgrade vocational skills. One must be admitted to, or cleared for admission, to an academic or vocational school, which is state-licensed or accredited. Scholarships will be awarded with regard to financial need.
