DCHS wrestlers place 4th in 16-team invitational

Delphi wrestling team ended regular season by competing in the 42nd Annual Culver Military Invitational. Sixteen teams participated.

The DCHS team finished fourth behind South Bend Riley, Lafayette Harrison and Culver Military, respectively. Three Oracles wrestlers competed in the finals and all were champions - Bob Floyd at 112 pounds, Donovan Alderman at 119 pounds, and Braden Atwood at 152 pounds.

At 171 pounds, Coy Pennington placed third. Shane Evans at 160 pounds, Michael Atwood at 125 and Wesley Everett at 285 all finished in fourth place.

Vs. Lewis Cass

Delphi's wrestling team competed in their last dual meet of the season against Lewis Cass. The Oracles came out on top 39-19, finishing their dual meet season with a 19-4 record.

Winning for the Oracles were: 112 - Floyd, 119 - Alderman, 125 - Nathan McTigue, 130 - M. Atwood, 135 - Miguel Montero, 145 - Tyler Beaudoin, 152 - B. Atwood, 171 - Pennington and 285 - Everett.

Sectional competition will be held this weekend at Lafayette Jefferson High School.
