Ruth Anita Miller

Ruth Anita Miller, 86, of Camden, died at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 22, 2007, at Waterford Place, Kokomo.

Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of James Russell and Edith Pearl Bozard Sampsel.

She married Robert A. Miller on March 25, 1941, in Plymouth, and he survives.

She was formerly employed by Essex Wire, Logansport, as a production line worker. She and her husband owned the Deer Creek Market for 15 years.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being a part of church activities. The Millers enjoyed traveling and many driving trips after their retirement.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her family and friends and often remarked that she had never met a stranger.

Surviving with her husband are one son, Robert D. Miller of Walton; a daughter, Sandra Crain (husband: Ronald) of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Tiffany Conway (husband: Peter) of Chesterfield, Mo., and Lisa Miller of Lafayette; one grandson, Stephen Miller (wife: Julie) of Walton; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jeane Miller.

Friends may call at Cree Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Compton officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek.
