Burlington Kiwanis Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday for breakfast and meeting at the fire station. Margaret Mabbitt celebrated her 95th birthday with two celebrations. Last Thursday 12 of her friends hosted a luncheon in her honor at The Dinner Bell. On Sunday, an open house was held in her honor at the Senior Center with 60 attending. Burlington United Methodist Church will have a spaghetti supper at 6 p.m. Sunday. Those attending are asked to bring games. Starting Feb. 24, the United Methodist Church will host a clothing giveaway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church on the last Saturday of every month. An all-church carry-in supper will be held Sunday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at Faith Church of Christ. |
