Kremer breaks long-standing DCHS fly record
      It has become almost expected for DCHS swimmer Shannon Kremer to set or re-set some kind of a record in her first event at each swim meet. Kremer, a senior, surprised everyone at the meet against Rensselaer by coasting to an easy win in the 200-yard freestyle, well out of record time.

Richardson, Burton, Kremer set CHS, DCHS swim records
      The county swim teams split victories last Wednesday as Carroll girls beat Delphi 112-68 while Delphi boys repaid Carroll 106-72. Delphi's Shannon Kremer broke her 500 free record with a time of 5:25.50 and was a quadruple winner while Mara Burton was a triple winner.

Lady Oracles break losing streak

      The Lady Oracles, led by Brianne Stauffer's 21 points and 18 rebounds, come from behind to beat the Sheridan Blackhawks Thursday, 68-63. They ended a losing streak that had reached 11 games in a row with a 49-31 loss to Rossville earlier in the week.

      Carroll wrestlers competed in the Hoosier Heartland Conference on Saturday, finishing in third place as a team. Senior Sam Scharer, pictured on top, held on to his conference champion title for the second year in a row in the 125-pound class.

Oracle JV captures win; varsity continues to slide

      The Oracle JV fell to the North White Vikings in opening round competition of the White County Tourney held Jan. 15-16. Despite a good comeback and tying the game in the final seconds, the Tri- County Cavaliers hit two foul shots to seal the victory over the Oracles in the consolation game.

      7th Lady Oracles defeat Battleground The 7th grade Lady Oracles defeated the Battle Ground Tomahawks 37-14. In the "A" game Jordan Jargstorf led all scorers with 22, and Marlee Higgings added 7. Justin Alderman gets the defensive player of the game award with 6 steals.

      Delphi wrestling team ended regular season by competing in the 42nd Annual Culver Military Invitational. Sixteen teams participated. The DCHS team finished fourth behind South Bend Riley, Lafayette Harrison and Culver Military, respectively.
