Carroll's varsity girls' swim team has won its first Hoosier Heartland Conference title since 1999. The boys' team took runner-up honors.

"This was probably the best conference meet ever for our kids," said Coach Roger Nelson. "Nearly everyone had at least one personal best time."

The girls earned 210.5 team points for first place, followed by Clinton Central with 184.5 and Lafayette Central Catholic with 135.

For the boys, Clinton Central took first place with 224 points. Carroll was a close second with 206 points, followed by Central Catholic with 10.
