Kremer sets swim records; boys break record in win

Record breakers Delphi Community High School boys' 200 freestyle relay team raised the standard against Benton Central recently with a new record time of 1:37.46. The DCHS girls' swim team beat North Judson 99-80, winning 9 of 12 events and Benton Central 90-79 with 7 first places.

Against North Judson, Shannon Kremer and Mara Burton were quadruple winners while Keltie Lake was a triple winner. Kremer had four first places against BC and Burton won three. Against North Judson Kremer broke her 200 IM and 100 backstroke records with times of 2:20.29 and 1:07.31 and against Benton Central her 200 free record with a time of 2:02.72.

The boys' team beat Benton Central 111-43, winning 11 of 12 events. Andrew Burton was a quadruple winner, Kyle Price, Andy Flora and Jeremy Sterrett were triple winners, and Matt Keen was a double winner. The 200 free relay team of Sterrett, Nick Force, Price and Burton set a new school record with a time of 1:37.46.
