Invitation issued to DCSC open house

Friends of Delphi Community Schools, you are cordially invited to attend an open house at our schools in the Delphi Community School Corporation. The dates and times are listed below. Education is a vital part of our lives, particularly our children's lives. We are very proud of the accomplishments each of our students and teachers have made and would like to share some of those with you.

As you know, the world around us, whether it is business, technology, education, or the way we live, is constantly changing. Not all, but many changes benefit our lives by making them richer and more meaningful. Children are our most precious resource. As educators we spend many hours helping to shape their minds and their lives. In such a diverse world with so many opportunities for learning, every person connected to a child becomes an important part of the education of that child.

This letter was written because we believe that you have touched the lives of many young people and will continue to do so. Therefore, we are inviting you to become a partner with us in the decisions that need to be made about our children and the facilities in which they learn.

During the open house, we want to share the great things we do each day, as well as the good things about the facility we use. There is much history and many memories in the school buildings throughout the Delphi Community School Corporation. Our desire is to always keep those memories and the history alive.

At the same time, we do have some areas of concern about the condition of our buildings. Our wish is to share those concerns with you, as well as to get feedback and input from you. Hopefully, together we can come to some resolutions about what is best for our children.

We will also be giving you a survey to complete that will provide our school board members with community input, which will allow them to make positive decisions in providing the best educational experience we can offer our children, based on your input and support.
