Warren W. Wilson Warren W. Wilson, 84, of Dunedin, Fla., died Dec. 18, 2006. He was born and raised in Greenhill, Indiana, and was a former Carroll County resident. After serving in World War II, in which he received five bronze stars, he married Betty Jo Lane in 1946 and attended Butler University. For many years, he was district sales manager for Chadwick Mfg. Co. of Wisconsin, and later for Northwood Mfg. Co. of Rensselaer. In 1972, he and his wife moved to Florida and eventually settled in Dunedin, where Betty now resides. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Jo; a son, Danny Wilson of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Stephany Jo Broome and her son, Travis Warren Broome, both of Dunedin, Fla.; and a sister-inlaw, Doris Ayres of Frankfort. Preceding him in death were his parents-in-law, Wilbur and Lois E. Lane. A memorial service celebrating his life and love for humor and music was held at Union Street Methodist Church, where he had been a member since 1987. Burial of his ashes in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora, will occur at a later date. |
