Delphi Saxophone Quartet
Delphi Public Library

The Delphi Saxophone Quartet will play at Delphi Public Library's Coffee Beat Jan. 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The group formed a little more than a year ago when Andy and Bethanny Cougill, enlisted Anita Werling, a flute player. They convinced her the saxophone would be easy to learn after knowing the flute. A short time later Delphi band director and trombonist Jay Dennison was recruited.

The group will play different music styles from various time periods, such as early Irish folk songs, Polish madrigal, modern show tunes and even some video game soundtrack music! There will be jazz classics, Motown favorites, soft rock renditions and a few classical pieces thrown into the mix.

Music and coffee are free, and desserts will be available for a small fee. Guests should enter the library from Indiana Street.
