DELPHI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE will hold its annual banquet on Jan. 29 at Bresnahan's Pub & Fine Dining in Pittsburg. Mayor Lee Hoard will give his annual State of the City address and special awards will be presented. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a "Meet and Greet," followed by dinner and program. Dick Curts of Flora is offering

FREE TAX SERVICE for the elderly, low income, and disabled persons in Carroll County. The service is provided in his home and by appointment only. Call 574-967-3828 between 9 a.m. and noon. Curts has been offering the tax filing and consultation service for 18 years.

FREE TAX PREPARATION for low-to-middle income individuals, with special attention to those 60 and older, will be offered by AARP representatives at the Carroll County Senior and Family Services, 1001 S. Washington St., Delphi. The service is supported by the Internal Revenue Service. Appointments are Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Feb. 6 until April 10. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY will hold CALL-OUTS for those interested in becoming partner families for a home to be built in Carroll County in 2007. Meetings will be Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Delphi Public Library. Call Jim Justice at (765) 564- 2680 for information.
