Brooks
Being a trooper since 1979, Brooks started out in the Lowell District as a road trooper and then went on to become a pilot for the north zone of the ISP. After flying for 13 years, Brooks was a member of the Indiana Gaming Commission before returning to the road.

Brooks keeps busy in his off hours. He belongs to many organizations in the community. They include the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites, Murat Shrine, Airborne Law Enforcement, State Police District Representative for the Partners for a Drug Free White County, and Chairperson for Career Technical Education of Carroll County.

The district started the new program to recognize troopers on a quarterly basis for their hard work and dedication to the job and to the people of the State of Indiana. Appearance, work habits, and overall performance are qualities the district commanders look for in a trooper to help promote the department.
