Schock honored for long service to city
Retired Tri-Township Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bill Schock was honored Dec. 27 for his outstanding and unwavering service to the City of Delphi. Mayor Lee Hoard said he appreciated Schock's approachability and competence in providing leadership and firefighting activities throughout the years he worked with Schock. Hoard complimented Schock as a forward-thinker who served on the first E-911 steering committee, which worked toward enhanced service. Hoard presented Schock with a certificate of appreciation for his dedicated service and a plaque, shown in the picture, which commemorated his 31 years of service to the department.
