Margaret Mabbitt to be 96

A party is planned to celebrate Margaret Mabbitt's 96th birthday.

It will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Senior Citizens Center on State Road 29, Burlington. The public is invited.

Miss Mabbitt was born Jan. 18, 1911, in Carrollton Township and grew up on the family farm. She attended Wheeling Grade School and graduated from Carrollton High School in 1929.

She moved to Burlington in 1977 and is a member of the Burlington First Brethren Church.

Her activities have included 4- H leader, county and township Extension Homemakers, Flora chapter of Psi Iota Xi, and extensive traveling. She is still a member of the Burlington Township Extension Homemakers Associate Club. She enjoys reading and visiting with friends.
