Tax help available this season

Free tax preparation for low-to-middle income individuals, with special attention to those 60 and older, will be offered by AARP representatives at the Carroll County Senior and Family Services, 1001 S. Washington St., Delphi. The service is supported by the Internal Revenue Service.

Appointments can be made immediately for Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Feb. 6 until April 10. Those interested are encouraged to call (765) 564-2772 as soon as possible to schedule.

Participants are asked to bring the following documents, if applicable, to the appointment:

+ Current tax forms; + A copy of 2005 taxes;

+ W-2;

+ Unemployment compensation statement;

+ SSA 1099;

+ All 1099 forms;

+ All forms indicating federal tax paid;

+ Dependent care provider information (name, employer, identification and social security number); and

+ Tax payer and dependents' Social Security cards.
