A walk to remember
Wanda Duff kneels by a brick bearing the name of her late husband, William Duff, which was laid at the base of the courthouse flagpole as part of a memorial walkway honoring Carroll County government employees. Duff said the memorial was inspired by her husband's many accomplishments for the county. "Bill was honest and fair," she said. "He had no problem stating his point of view, but respectfully listened to others before making decisions. His love for leadership and his fairness were utmost." Along with his name are more than 60 others, some of whom are still active in county work. Anyone interested in adding a name to the walk can do so for a fee. Contact Duff at (765) 564-3349 for more information. Comet photo by Kevin Schnepp
