Marjorie L. Landes

Marjorie L. Landes, 76, of Flora, died at 1:07 p.m. Jan. 1, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi.

Born April 19, 1930, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Marion and Laura Chapman Dillon. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1948.

Her marriage was on Feb. 21, 1951, in Flora, to Carl F. Landes, who died Sept. 6, 2003.

Mrs. Landes was a homemaker. She was a member of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, and an Extension Homemakers club.

Surviving are three children, Karlene Boyer of Muncie, Gary Landes (wife: Susan) of Anderson, and Sherry Strauss of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Chase Reagan, Amber Wolf, Jonathon, Katie and Lindsey Landes; and one great-grandson, Blake Reagan.

A brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. Pastor Mark Ellcessor will officiate. Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, Sharon.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora.
