      Delphi Lions Club Delphi Lions Club met Nov. 7 at the Stone Barn. Of ten Peace Poster entrants, six were present and treated to dinner. Braden Abbott's poster was chosen as top winner. Second place went to Brittney Wade and third went to Ashley Metzger. Winners received cash prizes and all contestants received Dairy Queen gift certificates.

      Rossville Ambulance Service will sponsor a BREAKFAST IN THE VILLAGE Dec. 1 in the Rossville Bennett Room at the ambulance garage. Biscuits and gravy, hash brown casserole, cinnamon rolls from a local bakery and drinks will be served and free-will donations will be accepted.

      10 YEARS AGO Jerry and Mary Blue are opening the Wildcat Creek Bed and Breakfast in their rural Cutler home. For over a year the Blues have been readying the house with a tasteful blend of old and new. The spacious kitchen/breakfast area features lots of light streaming in the double doors and triple windows. A Hoosier cabinet is put to good use in the functional.

      Camden Woman's Literary Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library's Reading Room. Hostesses will be Billie Hedde, DeAnna Sieber and Tammy Mullendore. Camden Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 21 in the Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren. Pastor Guy Studebaker of the host church will give the message.

      Burlington Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the town hall. An open house honoring Dorothy Atkisson for her 90th birthday will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. at the community library. The family requests no gifts, however cards would be appreciated.

      The deacons at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church are again planning to fill Thanksgiving baskets for the needy. Those wanting to help are asked to bring canned foods and nonperishables and place them in the Narthex. Donations will be accepted through Sunday. Anyone knowing a family in need is asked to contact a deacon.

      Cub Scout Wolves celebrated fall with a party at Mike and Jonella Beale's house on Nov. 3. The boys enjoyed horse rides and a hayride. They also roasted hot dogs and s'mores over a bonfire.

      Deer Creek Delphiniums Deer Creek Delphiniums 4- H Club recently planted trees and bushes at Carroll Manor for their service project. Five three-foot white pine trees and five burning bushes were planted. The trees and bushes planted were in addition to ones planted by the club in previous years.

      Delphi Public The 2007 Hoosier Salon Tour is on display in the Gerber Globe Valve Room. Fifteen works from the 83rd annual exhibition "Indiana Art at its Best" will hang through Nov. 26. Works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and silver point present a wide range of styles as well as subtle-to-electrifying color schemes.

      Carroll County Lions Clubs presented a check for $500 to the Carroll County 4-H Exhibit Board. The proceeds came from the fourth annual barbecue supper at the Carroll County 4-H Fair.
