Margaret C. Leaman
Margaret Clementine Loy Shaff Leaman, 91, passed away Oct. 31, 2007, at 5:10 a.m. at the home of her daughter in Sautee, Ga.
She was born March 3, 1916, in Delphi to Thurman "Dick" and Della Dice Loy. She was raised in Delphi, married and moved to Frankfort. Her first marriage was to Samuel C. Shaff in Frankfort on Dec. 19, 1935, and he preceded her in death July 10, 1957. Her second marriage was to William P. Leaman in January 1967 in Delphi, and he preceded her in death Nov. 16, 1989.
Mrs. Leaman attended Delphi High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Frankfort United Methodist Church and had attended the Delphi United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority in Frankfort.
She enjoyed crafts and was artistic with her ability to etch eggs. She enjoyed games and loved to play bridge.
Surviving are: two daughters, Mary Ann Seale (husband: Alvin) of Sautee and Dianna Wood (husband: John) of Clermont, Fla.; four grandchildren, D. Brad Conner of Kennesaw, Ga., Dawn Salmon of Marietta, Ga., Melissa Craddock of Roswell, Ga. and Michael Henderson of Arch Cape, Ore.; and six great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Ryan Salmon, Ella and Clare Craddock and Sammy and Max Henderson.
Mrs. Leaman was preceded in death by three sisters, Gwendolyn, Meridith Jean and Geraldine.
Services were held Nov. 5 at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi and were officiated by the Rev. Todd Ladd. Burial was at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.
