      Doris Jean Bryan, 271E 750S, Logansport, will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house given by her family at the Deer Creek Community Center. The event will be Nov. 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. The daughter of Carl and Icle Jones, Mrs. Bryan was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Carroll County. She was married to Glen E. Bryan on June 1, 1947. He passed away on May 21, 1991.

Mears 60th anniversary
      Sherry and Lois Mears of Delphi are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today, Nov. 7. They were surprised with a family celebration this past summer when all six children and their families were visiting. Mears and the former Lois Martin were married in Delphi, on Nov. 7, 1947. by Rev. W. Merlin Schwein.

Heises to celebrate 50th
      Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Heise will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children Saturday at the Burrows fire station. Heise and the former Elizabeth Berkshire were married Nov. 8, 1957, in Delphi by the Rev. Frank Rodkey. He is retired from Essroc Cement Company.

      Lloyd "Bud" and Ruth Anderson will hold a celebration Nov. 8 at St.Mary's Healthcare Center in Lafayette in honor of their 60th wedding anniversary. He is a retired carpenter and farmer. She is a homemaker. The couple has resided in the Delphi area their entire lives.

      Shawn K. Gillikin and Shawn D. Kelly were married Oct. 10 in Beaufort, N.C. She is a 1998 graduate of Mead High School in Washington. He is a 2000 graduate of Carroll High School. He is in the United States Marine Corps and is stationed at Cherry Point, N.C.

      Nicole Bergdorff and Jamie McCarty were married Oct. 27 at the Tippecanoe Shrine Club in Lafayette. Alvin Grumbling of Flora officiated the wedding. The bride is the daughter of Roxanne Bergdorff of Lafayette and the late Roy Bergdorff. Parents of the groom are Jack and Phyllis McCarty of Camden.
