County 4-H'ers win $1000 4-H scholarships

The three recipients are: Rebecca Lytton in the Public Speaking/Demonstration category, Ann Mears in Horticulture, and Darren Paul in Sheep.
Each year 28 4-H'ers across Indiana are awarded scholarships based on the life skills they learned through 4- H. Several hundred 4-H'ers submit a resume and cover letter outlining the skills they gained through their various 4-H projects and activities. One hundred 4-H'ers are selected to interview in the spring. Then 28 are selected to receive from $500-$2000 in scholarships in the fall.
Carroll County 4-H'ers in
grades 10 and above should plan to attend a workshop in early Nov. for the 2008 scholarships.
