Community Thank You

Kids at their best

It is easy to catch kids doing something wrong, but they are definitely doing something right, too.

Last week you may have seen juniors and seniors out in Carroll County doing community service. These are students who had already passed the ISTEP test, and volunteered their time in the community while others were taking the test. These generous kids helped make Carroll County a cleaner and safer place for all of us.

One of the places where they volunteered was the Carroll County Senior & Family Services in Flora. They, along with Chuck Spooner, Scot Collins (guidance counselor), Rhoda Kratz (French teacher), and Katie Seward (computer teacher) from Carroll High School, washed, waxed, and cleaned all of the vans used for senior transportation, washed all of the windows inside and out of the Community Center, and checked and tightened all of the screws on our chairs in our dining room.

We want all of these wonderful volunteers to know how much we appreciate their hard work. A big thank you to all of you. Jeff Sieber, executive director;

Randie Veach, transportation

director; Pat DeVore, site director of

Flora Senior and Family

Services.
