Logs for bridge floor These 17-foot long white oak logs will be cut into planks for the floor of the Stearns truss bridge. There was no floor in the bridge when it was disassembled and moved from Pulaski County to Carroll County. At least 2,500 board feet of two-inch thick oak will be needed to cover the floor. The logs were donated by Pike Lumber Company of Carbon, Ind. Shane Johnson, manager, and Paul Wright, driver, recently delivered the logs to the Canal Association. Pictured with the logs is canal volunteer Roy Patrick.
