Davis Zachary, missionary to Haiti, will speak at the morning worship service at Hickory Grove Church on May 6 at 10 a.m. Zachary, along with his two daughters and their families, operate a Walk-in Clinic that sees over 200 patients per day. Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School took top honors in the Hoosier Heartland Conference Math Contest held April 25 at Lafayette Central Catholic High School. Deyoe Sheetz, 84, of Flora, died at 1:20 a.m. Monday, April 30, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. Born July 23, 1922, in Twelve Mile, he was the son of Luther and Ethel Conrad Sheetz. He graduated from Metea High School in 1947. On Nov. 15, 1947, he married Elizabeth Ann Fisher at her home in Camden and she survives in Flora. More...

Carroll County Commissioners' president Loren Hylton revealed a revised staffing plan for the county highway department at the Friday morning council meeting. The plan included the elimination of the position currently held by highway supervisor Ramzi Awwad, who has resigned, putting current highway superintendent Ron Francis in charge and establishing three foremen positions.
