Girl Scout Troop 1054 is using what few resources they have to inspire others to take action and bring the community together for a greater cause.

The scout troop's latest concern is overseas soldiers. Nonperishable items for personal hygiene and letters for soldiers will be used to make care packages.

Donations will be collected during an April 28 Delphi Little League Parade in front of Heartland Screen Printing on Franklin St. A bake sale will be held to help raise funds to purchase more needed items for the troops.
