Comet staff report

Churches and individuals across America will unite in prayer on Thursday, May 3, for National Day of Prayer.

The Bible verse for the day is 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land."

The sanctuary of Delphi United Methodist Church, 118 North Union Street, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 3 for prayer. The church bell will ring each hour to call the community to prayer.
