Lady Oracles beat Carroll to improve to 6-3

      For all but two half-innings played between Delphi and Carroll Monday night in Flora on the back-half of the home-and-home series, the game seemed like most games played between the two rivals - closely played, well-pitched, a key hit here or there determining the outcome.

Carroll hires athletic director

      Carroll School Corporation has named a new athletic director. S h a u n Rose, a native of Elkhart and now of L a f a y e t t e , will officially begin his duties July 1. He has been a physical education teacher at Clinton Prairie Elementary School, Frankfort, for the past three years. Along with teaching, he has also coached seventh and eighth grade football and seventh grade basketball there.

      J e n n i f e r Kelly, a senior at R o s s v i l l e Middle/High School, will be playing b a s k e t b a l l next winter at Franklin C o l l e g e , Franklin. Even though she has earned 12 varsity letters in cross country, track and basketball at Rossville, she will only play basketball at Franklin.

Oracles come from behind to defeat Bulldogs
      The Oracle JV softball team improved its record to 2-1 last Thursday night after defeating Clinton Central 5- 4. The Oracles' "never give up" attitude was shown as they battled back after falling behind 4-0 after the first inning. Cassi Oliver claimed her first win of the season.

Oracles slip to 2-6
      It was a tough weekend for the Delphi Oracles baseball team. They lost to Frankfort Friday night and a double header at Taylor on Saturday. At Frankfort, the Oracles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Oracles could not sustain the lead. Andrew Flora and Michael Myers led the Oracle offense with two hits apiece.
