Reader's comments:
The current school board representatives should be commended for the thought and hard work that they put into their public service. This sometimes thankless job, is one that affects our entire community and it's future. I applaud their openness, sincerity, their listening powers, their patience, and the support they have given to our new superintendent and his staff. The changes they are implementing are financially needed and educationally in the best interest of our students. Though change is difficult, the ultimate goal of the best learning opportunities for ALL our children, is what public education strives for. To prepare these students to be life-time learners and assets to their communities is the responsibility of each one of us; thus giving the teachers, administrators, and school board members the tools and support needed to achieve those ends is something we should all get behind.
