Carroll County Council members learned more about county fiscal status at their March 20 evening meeting. They were given the annual financial report by county auditor Beth Myers. Howard County's Northwestern Tigers won the IHSAA Class 2A Boys Basketball Championship Saturday with a 78-74 double overtime victory over Winchester. The Tigers are coached by Carroll graduate and Deer Creek resident Jim Gish. Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School Principal Charles Huckstep announces the honor roll for the third nine weeks grading period. Students on the Top Scholars honor roll earned a grade point average of 4.0 or greater. Those on the Distinguished honor roll earned at least a 3.67 GPA.
