Odalinda Chavez, 55, of Flora, died at 7:45 a.m. March 8, 2007, at her residence.

Born Oct. 11, 1951, in Zaccatecas, Mexico, she was the daughter of Jose Luis and Dolores Rivas Martinez. She married Eduardo A. Chavez on Nov. 14, 1981, in Camden, and he survives.

Mrs. Chavez was employed at Small Parts, Inc., in Logansport.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi.

Also surviving are two daughters, Rosa I. Martinez, of Frankfort and Obdulia "Lula" D. Chavez of Flora; one son, Juan Carlos Martinez of Frankfort; ten brothers and sisters, Guillermina Martinez, Irma Martinez, Jose Luis Martinez, Maricela Martinez, Remberto "Beto" Martinez, and Sandra Martinez, all of Guadalajara, Mexico, Sergio Martinez, Olegario Martinez and Isaul Martinez, all of Frankfort, and Maria de la Luz Martinez of California; nine grandchildren and several godchildren.

Services were held Saturday at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
