Mustangs stampede the Oracles

      Fountain Central (11-10) played with enthusiasm and emotion the entire game last Tuesday night in opening round action of the North Montgomery Sectional. They were playing for the first time since the loss of junior Andy Krout. Fountain Central, the eventual sectional runner-up, defeated the Oracles 48-36.

Knights cage Cougars

      Carroll's defensive play against Lafayette Central Catholic was a lot better the second time around than a recent game at CHS, but the outcome was the same. The Knights downed the Cougars 58-37 in the first round of the Frontier Class A Sectional. The big factor in the game last Tuesday night was Carroll's inability to handle CC's quickness on the defensive end.

      YMCA league champs The team Men at Work won the Carroll County YMCA Adult Basketball League championship by defeating Hufty's 61-60 last Sunday night. There were nine teams in the league. Members of the winning team were Jason Deboy, Todd Adams, Tim Snoeberger, Jon Johnson, Kyle Wagoner, Adam Harness, Ed Bridwell, Larry Johnson, and Eric Braund.

      Delphi 8th girls are tourney champs Delphi 8th grade Lady Oracles won the White County tournament held Saturday. The championship game against Tri County came down to the wire with the Lady Oracles claiming the 37-34 victory. Leading the Oracles was Whitney Arion with 13 points. Chanler Norman added 11, Carli Rouhier, Randee Schultz and Brittani Rhodes each had 4, and Grace Mears with 1.
