Oracle JV disarms Bombers

      Delphi's junior varsity ended their season with a 51-43 victory over the Rensselaer Bombers. This game was one of the JV's best games this season. The team had it all together for this one - good defense and six players scoring. The last play of the game showed unselfish play by A.J. Erskin as he had a 2-on-1 break for the basket and tossed the ball to teammate Paul Zink for a layup.

Knights spear Cougars

      A big first half gave Class A, fifth ranked Lafayette Central Catholic a share of the Hoosier Heartland Conference title after blowing away Carroll 85- 45 Friday night in Memorial Gymnasium. The loss dropped Carroll to 7-13 and 2-3 in the HHC, while Central Catholic is 14-6 and 4-1.

      The catch of the day is the new 2007 Indiana Recreation and Fishing Guide, a 72-page free booklet from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The guide summarizes Indiana fishing regulations, including license fees, possession limits, consumption advisories, and a county-by-county list of public access fishing locations in Indiana.

AD is honored
      Delphi Community High School's retiring athletic director, Bob Blaydes, was presented a recognition plaque honoring his nine years of service during Friday night's Delphi-Rensselaer boys' baskeball game. Blaydes is retiring due to health considerations.
