Delphi girls’ basketball coach asked to resign

In a Dec. 26 telephone interview, Delphi Community School Corporation Superintendent Ralph Walker verified that Delphi girls’ basketball coach Dave Schneider was asked to resign last Wednesday.

Schneider coached the Delphi girls’ team for the past two-and-ahalf years. During that stint, the team had a record of 20-36, including a 2-10 record this season.

High school principal Barry Stone assumed responsibility as coach upon Schneider’s resignation.

Attempts to reach Schneider and Stone were unsuccessful.
