Kistler, Tinsman vows pledged

Kayla Kistler and Rustin Tinsman, both of Flora, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. July 22 at Faith Church of Christ in Burlington. Pastor Steve Cole officiated.

Parents of the couple are Jay and Sandy Kistler and Bill and Joretta Tinsman, all of Flora.

Musicians were Andra Blume of Logansport, pianist; Craig Blume, Logansport, trumpeter; and vocalists, Dona Gulbro and Michelle Emens, both of Athens, Ala., Melinda Allbaugh of Flora, and Melissa Filbrun of Bringhurst, aunt and cousins of the groom.

The bride’s sisters, Emily Kistler and Melissa Ayres, both of Flora, were maid of honor and matron of honor, respectively. Bridesmaids were Maggie Jackson of Flora and Abbey Fowler of Galveston.

Flower girls were Grace Ayres of Flora, niece of the bride, and Rhys Allbaugh of Flora, cousin of the groom.

Ring bearers were the bride’s nephew, Jacob Ayres, of Flora and the groom’s cousin, Mitcham Boller, of Bringhurst.

Ryan Allbaugh of Flora performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Casey Carman of Cutler, Josh Ayres and Troy Trent, both of Flora.

Serving as ushers were Steve Kistler of Indianapolis, Greg Goltry of Royal Center and Brad Fowler of Galveston, all uncles of the bride, and Casey Dillon of Flora.

Guest registrars were Olivia Elliott and Lucas Elliott, both of Athens, Ala., Sarah Franklin of Royal Center, and Jennifer Kistler of Carmel. Jeffrey Kistler of Indianapolis was gift attendant.

A reception at the Wabash and Erie Canal Interpretive Center followed the ceremony.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School and a 2005 graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education. She is employed by the Twin Lakes School Corporation as a first grade teacher at Oaklawn Elementary School.

The groom was graduated from Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School in 1996. He is employed with Tinsman and Son Inc., Flora.

Following a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Tinsman are residing at 503 E. Elizabeth St., Flora.
