Eva Lou Fouts Services for Eva Lou Fouts, 86, of rural G a l v e s t o n , were held S a t u r d a y morning at the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. Pastor C h a r l e s Compton officiated and burial was at Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek. She died at 3 a.m. Dec. 20, 2006, at her residence. Born July 13, 1920, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Cora Flora Sibbitt. She graduated from Carrollton High School, and attended Purdue University. On Sept. 8, 1940, in Flora, she married Tom “Captain Stubby” Fouts, who preceded her in death on May 24, 2004. A homemaker, Mrs. Fouts was a member of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church and Deer Creek Extension Homemakers Club, She enjoyed spending time with her family and also enjoyed flowers, birds and nature. She was an avid college basketball fan. Mrs. Fouts traveled the world with her husband. Surviving are a son, Dan Fouts (wife: Beth) of Galveston; a daughter, Connie Livingston (husband: Tom) of LaGrange, Ill.; a brother, Charles E. Sibbitt (wife: Margaret) of Bringhurst; a sister, Mary Ann Markley (husband: Chuck) of Flora; a brotherin law, William Fouts (wife: Doris) of Galveston; a daughterin law, Patricia McCammack of Delphi; six grandchildren, Kurtis Fouts (wife: Karen) of Bringhurst, Kendra Bielefeld (husband: Ron) of Sebastian, Fla., Thomas Livingston (wife: Casey) of LaGrange, Ill., Pamela Livingston of Washington, D.C., Amy Phillips (husband: Joey) of Camden, and Lisa Fouts of Galveston; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan Bielefeld, Anna Bielefeld, Will Livingston, and Avery Livingston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Thomas L. Fouts, and a grandson, Kevin G. Fouts. Memorials may be made to Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, was in charge of arrangements. |
