Flora police nab drug dealer

The Flora Police Department, in conjunction with the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, arrested Danny Freeman, 22, of Flora on two felony counts of dealing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a youth center and one count of maintaining a common nuisance.

Freeman was incarcerated in the Carroll County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

The arrest stems from an undercover investigation in which Freeman sold marijuana in Flora.

“This is a good example of what can occur when agencies join together to keep our children safe, not only in Flora, but the entire State of Indiana,” Flora Police Chief Paul Redmon said. “I don’t want my kids or any other kids being subjected to this type of activity. We will continue to go after the subjects committing drug-related crime or any other type of illegal activity in our community. We appreciate any help or support anyone may have to assist us.”

This was the first arrest in a series of investigations. More are expected out of this investigation in the near future.
