Library News Delphi The library will be closed on Dec. 30 and Jan. 1 for New Years. Hours resume Jan. 2 at 10 a.m. A few openings remain for the Jan. 6 “ABCs of Acrylic Painting Class.” Basic techniques of application and composition will be taught to aspiring artists ages 14 and up from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will learn to stretch and prepare a canvas, create a paint pallet, brush stroke application and color mixing. A small materials fee is due upon registration. The instructor is Sara Daly Brosman. Drs. Daniel and Mary Ann Nussbaum will visit the library Jan. 11 to discuss their newly released suspense novel, “The Last Reunion.” The Nussbaums will also tell of their travels via yacht to the Fiji Islands with stops in Hawaii, the Marshall Islands and Tuvalu. The 6:30 p.m. program will be a great mental get-away from an Indiana winter. Tropical refreshments will be served. Come and enjoy the distinctive sound of the saxophone when Delphi’s own saxophone quartet performs at The Coffee Beat Jan. 20. Quartet members Anita Werling, Bethanny Cougill, Andy Cougill and Jay Dennison have a great evening of musical entertainment planned. Coffee and music are free but you will have to gather some loose change for a dessert. For registration or information on library programs, call (765) 564-2929.
