The Carroll County YMCA Board of Directors has made a recent change in management.

RUSS SILER of Flora has been appointed as acting interim executive director of the facility.

Siler is a graduate of Kokomo High School, served four years in the U.S. Air Force, and founded and managed ACR Construction for the past 30 years.

“Russ brings a strong work ethic and a passion for health and fitness,” said Dr. Brian Wagoner, board president. “Russ has been with the YMCA since the doors first opened, as a fitness instructor, and his skills and experience will uphold the Christian principles the YMCA was founded on. He will be a great asset for the program.”

The Carroll County YMCA was started as a county-wide community project nearly five years ago and opened for operation in November of 2003. Serving Carroll County, as well as the surrounding counties, it offers a variety of programs for both adults and children and provides the only licensed childcare center in the county.

“The Y board is thankful for all the support it has received from the community and is committed to ensuring the continued success and growth in the programs and services offered,” added Wagoner.
