Overholser has 20 years of experience in the postal service. She was a clerk at the Bringhurst Post Office for four years and clerk at the Frankfort Post Office for 10 years. She most recently was postmaster at Cutler for six years before being named officer in charge at Camden. Overholser and her husband, Tom, reside near Bringhurst. They have two grown sons and two granddaughters. Sandra Wertz continues to serve as officer in charge at the Cutler Post Office until a permanent postmaster is named. JOHN KOPPELMANN, broker owner with Zook Realty GMAC Real Estate, attended the annual convention of the National Association of REALTORS held recently in New Orleans. “As a real estate broker, my main focus at the business conference was to find new ways to provide the professional real estate services consumers need and expect,” said Koppelmann. Koppelmann has been in real estate in the area since 1994 and has offices in Monticello and Delphi. CATHY WATKINS was hired Nov. 6 as the administrative assistant at the at the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Watkins will c o o r d i n a t e meetings and events, answer calls and assist in any related matter including business inf o r m a t i o n , regulatory assistance, business development, member education and community relations. She will also assist Carroll County Economic Development Corporation executive director Daryl Smith. “If I can make a positive impact in the community through this position, then I will consider my time here a success,” Watkins said. Watkins graduated from Delphi High School in 1977. She and her husband Doug and children reside in rural White County. Watkins previously worked as a banker in Brookston and Monticello for 18 years and then at Carroll Manor. |
