Classy Classics Extension Homemakers Club met in the home of club president Pat Rodgers for the annual Christmas party. A dinner was served to 14 members.

Afterwards, the hostess gave devotions, listing 10 plans for celebrating the birth of Jesus. Each told of their plans for getting together with their families for Christmas.

An amusing poem was read, entitled “The Day After Christmas.”

Toys and gifts were collected for the Carroll County kids’ drive, sponsored by Psi Iota Xi sorority.

Wednesday Forum

Members of Wednesday Forum met recently at the home of Alice Christian for their December meeting. Members enjoyed a luncheon and grab bag gift exchange.

Members donated money to purchase a goat for the Heifer International Organization (HIO). HIO provides livestock and training to allow for nutritional improvement in families. Extra income can be earned by the family for their children’s healthcare, shelter and education.

Jan Hathaway will be chairman for 2007.
