Toy Store exhausts supplies
Gifts of all sorts abounded at Honan Hall Dec. 15 and 16 for the Christmas Baskets Inc. Toy Store. The program, started and run by local churches, collects toy donations through the year to offer to children of families in need. This year it was host to 426 children from 255 county families. Camden fifth-grade students donated 60 bicycles they purchased with fund-raising money to the program. “The event went well,” said Mary McDonald, who was in charge of toys for Christmas Baskets. “We gave almost everything away and everyone seemed pleased.” Comet photo by Kevin Schnepp
