Deadline nears for county toy/gift drive
      The last day to donate to the Carroll County Kids toy and gift drive is Friday. Sponsored by Beta Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority, the annual drive is a means to collect toys and other gift items for children in the county who might not otherwise receive gifts for Christmas.

Toy Store exhausts supplies
      Gifts of all sorts abounded at Honan Hall Dec. 15 and 16 for the Christmas Baskets Inc. Toy Store. The program, started and run by local churches, collects toy donations through the year to offer to children of families in need. This year it was host to 426 children from 255 county families.

      Santa Claus had the honor of drawing Flora’s Shop Flora 1st winners on Saturday afternoon. Lisa Brown of Deer Creek won the grand prize. She received gift certificates valued at $700.
