Oracles win Logan Super Duals

Delphi wrestling team ended the day Saturday 5-0 to win the Logan Super Duals. Delphi beat Peru 51- 23, conference foe Benton Central 48-25, Culver Military 43-34, blanked Fort Wayne South Side 75- 0 and defeated their hosts 43-24.

Top individuals for the Oracles, going 5-0 on the day, were: 103 lbs. - Gabe Kane, 119 - Don Alderman, and 171 - Coy Pennington.

Winning four were 112 - Bob Floyd, 125 - Michael Atwood, 145 - Cody Hayden, 152 - Braden Atwood, 215 - Carlos Garcia and 285 - Wes Everett. Winning three on the day was 160 - Shane Evans.

Winning two matches were 130 - Cory Smith, 140 - Tyler Beaudoin and 189 - Brandon Delaney. Winning once on the day was 135 - Miguel Montero.

Last Thursday, the Frankfort Hotdogs came to Delphi with Delphi coming out on top 46-21. Winners for the Oracles were 103 - Kane, 112 - Floyd, 119 -Alderman, 125 – M. Atwood, 152 – B. Atwood, 160 - Evans, 171 - Pennington, 189 - Delaney, and 215 - Garcia.

Alderman and Pennington remain undefeated on the season at

12-0. M. Atwood set a Delphi Community High School record for takedowns in a career at 253 and counting. He also recorded his 100th high school victory. T h e Oracles ran their team record to 13 wins against four losses on the season. The Delphi squad hosted Hoosier Conference foe West Lafayette on Tuesday.
